The Millers saw out the tie to book a home date against another League One outfit, Notts County, in the next round and Evans said the win was well deserved.

Hide Ad"We could have been 4-1 or 5-1 up at half time," he said. "Stevenage were always going to have a spell and when they came back I looked for character in my team and we showed that.
"You have got to give my players because Stevenage have won six out of seven away games and are a good side.
"Arguably we'd have settled for 10-9 or 5-4 or 1-0 and thankfully for us it was 3-2. It was a great win."
Striker Daniel Nardiello missed the match with a groin strain and the Millers hope to have him available for tomorrow's league trip to Fleetwood Town.
