Titans call for quick response

TITANS have told their players to go out and prove themselves in tonight's Yorkshire derby with coach Lee Blackett saying: "We have to be a lot better than we were last week."

Blackett is seeking an immediate reactionafter Rotherham were humbled 47-7 at Clifton Lane by the newly-relegated Warriors.

They now head to Scarborough tonight to face Leeds Carnegie in the opening British and Irish Cup group game, the first of three successive outings in the competition.

Said Blackett: "We are looking for a response from last week. We've had a tough week's training, plenty of contact and we're looking for much more physicality.

"Against the top teams you have to be at your best and we have to be miles better than we were last week.

"The physical aspect isn't something you would usually worry about with these boys but it was against Worcester and it is something we have to fix going into this Friday.
