Bomb squad called in as after drug police raid house

Officers executed a warrant at a Harlington Court property in Denaby Main shortly after 8am this morning.

South Yorkshire Police confirmed that a number of cannabis plants and “fireworks devices” were discovered.

A police spokeswoman said: “Explosive Ordinance Disposal have attended at the property to assist and make it safe.”

It is thought the explosives were being used to guard the property.

A local man in his 40s in currently helping officers with enquiries.
