Temporary change of address for police enquiry desk

THE police public enquiry desk for Barnsley will temporarily move to Wombwell on Monday.

The relocation is due to building work in Barnsley town centre.

The temporary front desk at Wombwell will be open 8am-6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-6pm Sunday.

All property, lost and found services will operate at Wombwell from next week.

Chief superintendent Tim Innes, LPU commander for Barnsley, said: "Efforts were made to locate a temporary enquiry desk in Barnsley town centre, but ultimately Wombwell was the only available option. I appreciate that this isn’t as convenient for some residents, but it is a temporary situation and the town centre desk will be re-opening as soon as possible.”
