Police hunt for Mexborough mugger
A 14-year-old girl was attacked and her mobile phone stolen as she walked along a busy road.
At around 5.45pm on Friday, May 30, the girl was walking along Doncaster Road in Mexborough close to Hirst Gate when a man attacked her from behind and stole her phone.
He then fled the scene running down Makin Street.
He is described as white, of average height and build with dark brown hair and aged between 20 and 25.
Anyone who may have been in the area at the time or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the police on 101, quoting incident number 486 of May 31.
