Time to Remember
The group behind the project has already raised £12,000 but they are hoping to drum up support for the remaining funds which will pay for a granite tribute in Clifton Park memorial garden alongside the World War One curtain wall.
There is currently no collective memorial in the town for those who died between 1939 and 1945 apart from a Book of Remembrance at Rotherham Minster, where a page is turned every Monday.
