Marti and Maureen in Willy Russell classic

MULTI-platinum selling artiste and Wet Wet Wet front-man, Marti Pellow, returns to the Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield, in Blood Brothers alongside Maureen Nolan, of The Nolans.

Hailed as one of the best musicals of all time, Blood Brothers, written by award-winning playwright Willy Russell, runs from Tuesday January 13-24.

Scooping no less than four awards for best musical in London and seven Tony Award nominations on Broadway, Blood Brothers is simply unmissable.

This epic tale of Liverpool life ran in London’s West End for 24 years and has been touring the UK since 1995.

Brit Award-winning singer-songwriter Marti returns as The Narrator.  

As both a solo artiste and with Wet Wet Wet, Marti has had consistent chart-topping multi-platinum albums, with over 25 chart hits and three of the UK’s biggest number one singles, including Love is All Around.

Since then, Marti has worked closely with some of the world’s most important musical composers such as Sir Tim Rice, and built a highly successful theatre career starring in the West End, on Broadway and on National Tour in the smash-hit musicals Chicago and Jekyll and Hyde.

He is joined by Maureen Nolan, who will play Mrs Johnstone. Maureen has been singing with her sisters The Nolans since she was nine and has played Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers in the West End and on tour to critical acclaim.  

She is the fourth Nolan to play the role, earning them entry in to the Guinness Book of Records.

Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving story of twin boys separated at birth, only to be reunited by a twist of fate and a mother’s haunting secret.

The memorable score includes A Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and Tell Me It’s Not True.
