He admitted producing the drug with intent to supply at Sheffield Crown Court on May 7.

South Yorkshire Police successfully obtained a forfeiture under the Proceeds of Crime Act a week later for £17,151.38.

Det Sgt Rob Platts, from Rotherham Money Laundering Team, said: “We will not stop in tackling crimes of this nature.

“We will continue to take positive action against anyone suspected of growing cannabis or being involved in any drug-related activity.

“When we catch up with those involved, in addition to the custodial sentences imposed by the courts, we will pursue all avenues to take away any cash and other assets which have come from crime.”
