We're still learning, says Frecklington

LEE Frecklington believes that Rotherham United aren’t quite the complete package yet, but he takes heart from how far they have come in a short period.

The 29-year-old midfielder has been a regular in the Millers’ team this season and he is well aware of which areas need improvement if Rotherham are really going to kick on and consolidate their position in the Championship.

He said: “As a team, we need to improve going forward, we got a clean sheet against Sheffield Wednesday (last weekend) which is something we needed given the games before, but once we are sorted at the back we need to have a little bit more going forward.

“The gaffer pointed out after the game against Wednesday that we were fine over larger periods but we just need to improve in the final third, which is something we will be working on over the next few weeks.

“You won’t win many games without scoring a goal, will you?”

However, Frecklington is enjoying his time back in the Championship and thinks that the last two years hard work are paying off in the second tier.

He said: “We are enjoying the challenges so far, we have had two good years here where we have had two promotions to give us occasions like last Saturday’s.

“We will enjoy it while we can, give our all in every match and apart from once, I think we have competed in every game."

Rotherham return to Championship action next weekend against Birmingham City.
