Ex-miners to mark strike anniversary
MEMORIES will be flooding back tomorrow as miners, families and supporters will be on the march again to mark the 30th anniversary of the end of the 1984-85 miners’ strike.
School children and retired miners are expected to be amongst those re-enacting the “march back” from the site of the former Silverwood pit back to Silverwood Miners’ Welfare from 10am.
