Family terrified after robbery in Kimberworth home

ROBBERS threatened a family with a knife and a hammer — injuring one man — after breaking into their home.

Police said two men entered a house on Meadow Bank Road, Kimberworth, and stole a number of items.

Officers are carrying out enquiries including looking at CCTV and have appealed to the public for information.

A force spokeswoman said: “At around 10.20pm on Wednesday, February 25, it is reported that two men entered the property and threatened the occupants with what is believed to be a knife and a hammer.

“One of the residents, a 41-year-old man, sustained arm injuries that required hospital treatment.

“A number of enquiries are being conducted, including CCTV recovery and forensic searches.”
