Man in hospital for Christmas after being injured during alleged taxi theft
A MAN has been charged after allegedly trying to steal a taxi outside a supermarket — leaving an injured 63-year-old man in hospital over Christmas.
Michael Grantham (27) was due in court on Boxing Day for a section 20 wounding offence and aggravated vehicle taking.
Grantham, of Roughwood Road, has also been charged with driving while unfit through drugs, without a licence and without insurance.

Hide AdPolice were called to Asda at Aldwarke Lane at 5.15pm on Christmas Eve after reports of someone stealing a taxi and then colliding with a number of other vehicles.
A 63-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. Police have described his condition as stable.
