Supermarket plan for former carpet showroom
A PLANNING application to build a new supermarket in Mexborough town centre is set to be discussed by councillors at the end of this month.
The proposals from Kier Property to redevelop the former United Carpets site off Station Road will go before Doncaster Council’s planning committee due to the objections received.
But no official date has yet been set.
A council spokesman said: “This application will be presented to committee due to the objections.

Hide Ad“This is likely to be at the end of February or beginning of March.”
The development will include a supermarket, petrol station, new approach and access to Mexborough Train Station and a plaza.
