Ledesma lands as fourth summer signing for Millers

ROTHERHAM United have made their fourth summer signing, confirming Argentine winger Emmanuel Ledesma as a Miller following his release from Middlesbrough.

The-27-year-old begins his second stint at the AESSEAL New York Stadium after enjoying a successful loan stint with the Millers back in December, playing seven games and scoring one goal.

Ledesma joins on what is believed to be a one-year-deal subject to Football League ratification and joins fellow new boys Lewis Buxton, Joe Mattock and Aidy White is Steve Evans' squad.

Evans told the club website: “It goes without saying that I am delighted to bring someone with the ability of Manu back to the Millers.

“Every Rotherham United fan will be delighted that this young man has joined us on a permanent basis as they have, like me, watched many outstanding performances when he was on loan with us last season.

“We as a football club tried as hard as we could to convince Manu’s parent club to do a permanent transfer last season but sadly they couldn’t sanction one at the time and it shows our perseverance has paid off.

“I got home with a huge smile on my face having secured Manu’s signature in the knowledge that there was significant interest from some of our local rivals in the Championship."
