Clarke-Harris in temporary switch

ROTHERHAM United's club record signing Jonson Clarke-Harris has joined League One side MK Dons on a month’s loan deal.

The striker was signed from Oldham Athletic in the summer but has been on the fringes of the Millers first team this campaign.

He has netted three times to date in 12 appearances and manager Steve Evans still believes the youngster has what it takes to be a success at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

He told the Millers website: “Jono is a young man we think extremely highly of and he is at a very early stage in his career which must mean him starting competitive first-team matches.

“The lad has been to see me on a number of occasions, perhaps at times frustrated which is understandable given his youth, but when an approach came in from a number of clubs challenging at the top end of League One he had the option of three moves.

“After his conversations with Karl Robinson he decided to join MK Dons initially for one month. We wish Jono every success in helping MK Dons continue their fight for promotion and on an individual basis we hope he can score some goals before coming back to the Millers to play an important part in the remainder of the season.

“When we purchased the lad from Oldham Athletic it was clear to everyone that this season would be a period of development on his part and this move is part of that.”
