Call for Miss British Empire entrants

WE’VE had Miss South Yorkshire and Miss England, now another competition is out to put Rotherham girls in the spotlight.

Entries are now being accepted for Miss British Empire 2014, with the Rotherham heat to be held on Friday, May 30, at the Phoenix Sports Club.

The contest is open to women aged 18 to 30 from across the South Yorkshire area (mothers and married women are welcome to compete).

The heat will feature a three-course meal served for guests, with tickets priced at £25.

Entrants will also be encouraged to fund-raise for Rotherham Dog Rescue.

The winner receives a place in the UK finals, a modelling contract, formal dress for the finals and a cash prize.
