This has involved collecting donations for a local food bank, attending St Helen’s Church in Treeton every Thursday to support the church coffee mornings and help with spring cleaning the church and organising a prize raffle in school, which raised £300 for the church restoration fund and the coffee morning group.
Ms Hallewell said: “The project has enabled the children to meet new people in our local community and work to benefit others, and Cllr Brookes felt that this hard work should be recognised.”
