Brookfield Junior Academy students get up close with goats, donkeys and alpacas

A SURPRISE visit by some farmyard favourites proved to be “animal magic” for excited primary pupils.

Goats, donkeys and alpacas dropped by Brookfield Junior Academy in Swinton to give students a treat and a chance to top up their knowledge about animals.

The visit by animals from Ian’s Mobile Farm was funded from the local ward councillors’ devolved budget.

Head Daisy Dunning said: “Every child had the opportunity to meet the animals and to listen to a talk from farmer Ian about his animals.

“This was great experience for our pupils and one which they thoroughly enjoyed.

This experience enhanced the classroom learning and brought the learning to life.”
