Snow stopping us losing weight
When the snow fell at the start of the week we saw it cause chaos across the town. With road closures, school closures and venues being inaccessible it started to look as if Slimming World groups wouldn’t be able to open.
As all Consultants are members first and foremost we understand how challenging it can be to members if they can’t get weighed, particularly after the Christmas and New Year festivities.

Hide AdWith all hands on deck Consultants across the Barnsley South and Rotherham team went all out to do whatever they could to support their members and any potential new members wanting to join our groups.

Both the Greasbrough & Kimberworth groups had to change days with Kimberworth having to use a different venue too to ensure it was safe for members to attend.
Other Consultants from Parkgate, Rawmarsh, Kimberworth Park, Stag, Treeton, Brinsworth, Hoyland, Wombwell, Stairfoot & Worsbrough went to groups early to clear snow and ensure pathways and entrances were clear and of course ensuring the kettle and heating was on.
All 25 groups across the team opened one way or another! We welcomed 125 new members to join us so far this week, what great commitment they have!

Across all the groups members lost over 54 stone.
At Slimming World we promise to be here for members whatever the weather.
Kerry Millson, Team Developer says “I am super proud of how the team has pulled together this week to ensure we provide the service to members that we always promise.
We understand how important groups are to our members and whilst safety always comes first we wanted to ensure every member that needed us could attend a group.
