Where's the sense?
Sir- Page 15 of this week’s Advertiser had the update on the crack down on enviro – crime, with seven people being charged for litter offences.
I do wonder though how someone can be taken to court for leaving waste at a refuse site. Mr D J Dundon had obviously made the effort to go to the refuse site but found it closed.
Surely common sense could have prevailed and someone taken the bags in. Next time he might not go as far as the tip and leave them by the side of the road like the real fly-tipping offenders.
