We need reasonable debate on global warming

Sir, Blimey – Sceptic, naive, dangerous and inaccurate. Next you’ll be calling me a Sheffield Wed/United fan.

Sceptic yes – I’ve converted, I saw the Al Gore movie and believed – I listened to/read the Global Warming headlines and believed. Naive then...absolutely. Dangerous – I struggle with that one.

The only danger I see is the attempt to stifle reasonable debate by this unhelpful labelling of people who have a different view on this particular topic.

Inaccurate – curiously my inaccuracies were not specifically pointed out nor corrected. And I certainly did not suggest Climate Change does not happen – It always has and always will.

The question is whether Co2 and humans are the main driver or not. There is lots of work out there that questions the current vogue that Co2 and you and I are to blame. This question is absolutely not beyond debate and is going to run and run over the coming years.

Anyway – the choice is entirely yours people – absolutely go and Google what you like, watch the Inconvenient Truth, it frightened me to death. But also get an alternative view to either form/change or strengthen your opinion. For example http://wattsupwiththat.com/, Google Joe Bastardi and read his European blog, maybe watch some of his presentations.

If you want to watch the inconvenient truth challenged then YouTube has the original and alternative views.

It’s a great topic and should be debated... Just keep an open mind and decide for yourself.

Watch the continuing morphing from ‘Man Made Global Warming’ to ‘Climate Change’ to... hmmm could ‘cooling’ be back on the agenda soon? And just for Ann I’ll tick the box this time.
