Thanks for help on Ride for Life

The ride eventually involved almost 100 bikers from across the borough. and whilst was in memory of a young man killed on his motor bike last year, it was also an effort to highlight the danger bikers face from other road users, when 26,000 of them are killed or seriously injured each year.

The reason for writing however is to say what a fantastic job the South Yorkshire Police did in securing the safety of the ride and the bikers throughout the event.

They escorted the ride using their traffic division officers in a car and on bikes through a 20-mile journey and showed such professionalism and efficiency, it made me and many others proud of our Police Service in South Yorkshire.
