Support your local fire station

I have just read your poll concerning the fire brigade and the cutbacks.

I have to disagree with any closures to any of the fire stations to save money I think that it is high time that the people of South Yorkshire started to support their local fire station to ensure that there will be no jobs lost or closure of localised fire stations.

There is a saying "too many chiefs and not enough Indians," I think any loss of stations will increase the danger to the public safety in the future.

Put it this way, how many local fire stations have closed down in South Yorkshire in the last 10 years?

I personally have seen at least 3 or 4 I urge the people of South Yorkshire to show all their support for the for rescue service.

Let's face it, we will likely need their assistance one of these days.
