Rawmarsh Community School: say no ANY cuts

Sir, In regard to the recent strike action at Rawmarsh Community School by the teachers, in which I would like to give my support, The Advertiser reported online “The union has accused new head Dr Stuart Wilson of trying to cut too quickly and too deeply.”

I wholly support the National Union of Teachers but I must slightly disagree with this quote.

The union should not be disputing the level or the severity of the cuts, instead they should simply be saying: "No to cuts, no to any cuts. No to all the cuts, no to all the job cuts. "

The pupils at Rawmarsh, the people of Rotherham, the working class haven’t caused this financial mess, we should not be made to be punished for it.

It shows the weakness within capitalism and the system with live under. It shows now we need a change.

It shows we need to fight these cuts and say the people of Rotherham are not going to sit back and take it.

We need to organise a campaign of resistance, a proper Rotherham against the cuts campaign, there is public meeting planned for January 27, at 7:30pm, in the upstairs room in The Bridge.
