LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Feeling the heat
A BIT of sunshine and we grind to a standstill. I thought it was only snow that caused that, not nice weather.
Everyone and his/her dog took the excuse to have a day off or “work from home” as they call it these days.
Many of these will be the same people who take the opportunity to book holidays to the hottest places possible twice a year and experience no side effects.
A bit of heat here though and they really feel it — “Phew, can’t go into work, better get myself to the seaside.”
