LETTER: Time to stop PMQs

I HAVE just watched the usual television broadcast of PM’s questions in the House of Commons which gets more vitriolic every week.

The exchanges between the Prime Minister and the leader of the opposition repetitively contradict each other about what is happening in the country, which must leave the poor old voters totally confused.

In my opinion this arena of conflicting opinions serves no useful purpose except to allow our well paid members of parliament time away from their continuances where their main interests should lie.

How many people agree and support me in suggesting that the expensive PMQs is abolished? Let’s face it, the only person who seems to enjoy it is the speaker who is fighting tooth and nail to remain in this job.
