LETTER: Get behind the Millers

I WOULD like all Millers fans to get behind manager Paul Warne and the team on Saturday.

We really should be singing like we do when we play Sheffield Wednesday or Sheffield United etc. We shouldn't need an electric scoreboard to tell us to sing, should we?

I know some will say the team should give us something to shout about but we are a big fish in this League One pond and teams are coming to New York Stadium and stifling us, hoping to nick a win.

I know Warney has to work out how to break teams down but it’s difficult for any team in any division when teams put nine and ten men behind the ball. Bolton didn't do it and Coventry, who were flying, didn't do it and look what happened to them.

We lost our two best players, Will Vaulks and Semi Ajayi, for this season, three if you count Marek Rodak. We are only 20 league games in and we have five more points at this stage than we did in the last promotion season.

The players are still gelling and Warney is trying to find the best system so be patient please. I'm confident he will get it right. He got us promotion in his first full season and we were unlucky to be relegated last year from the Championship with the lowest budget. And we made a profit.

I think the best signing has been new head of recruitment Rob Scott. He will bring some good players in, as he did at Brentford, and our future looks good now he's here.

One last thing, Rochdale , who beat us last Saturday, are a bogey team for us. We have lost our last four home games against them. All teams have one and unfortunately they are ours. UTM.
