Extend the Minster garden

Sir, "Rotherham has seen the sharpest rise in the number of vacant shop units in the Yorkshire and Humber region", with an incredible 28% of shops vacant (see study commissioned by the BBC's Inside Out Yorkshire programme).

It therefore occurs to me that the council should forthwith extend its Minster Garden plan to cover the entire town centre, thereby linking up nicely with Clifton Park.

New bus services to Parkgate and Meadowhall would obviously be required to enable visitors to the proposed Arts Hub to do their shopping.
