Can you help with information on Australian adventurer?

Sir--I AM endeavouring to find information on my great-great-grandfather, Thomas Hill.

Thomas was apparently born in or around Greasborough South Yorkshire, on March 10th 1816. The names of Rotherham and Rawmarsh also crop up in documents.

He listed his parents as Edward Hill (Butcher/Farmer) and Sarah Whiteley.

Thomas was baptised April 14th 1816, and died January 21st 1885.

He is buried in the Heathcote Cemetery, Victoria

He had an extremely eventful life in Colonial Victoria, having been “speared” by natives, robbed at gunpoint by “bushrangers, shot through the neck on Christmas Day 1867, burnt out by arsonists and survived it all

His siblings may be;

John b 1812,

Margaret b 1814,

Harriet b 1818,

Edward b 1821,

Samuel b 1823,

Sarah B 1826,

Charles b 1825 & Jane b 1832

I would welcome any assistance in tracing other descendants of Edward and Sarah Hill, or anybody who can shed further light on this family.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
