A letter to the editor

Dear Sir, the livelyhood of businesses on any estate shopping complex depends on the quality of the services they provide. Over the years the Kimberworth Park St. John's Green Complex has had its ups and downs for many businesses and in my opinion there is another down on the horizon that being the News Agents owned by Premier Express have decided in their penny pinching wisdom to stop the delivery of newspapers to our homes, this will mean that the vulnerable, disabled and housebound customers will be greatly inconvenienced, the letter I received states that they are proud to offer the customers much more from their convenience store which is now no longer a news agent they are proud to be offering alcohol and cigarettes to under aged children and make no mistake if it is available they will aquire those goods. they say they can't find reliable youngsters to deliver the papers, maybe if they paid them more than the minimum wage they might fair better. We all know by now that businesses with foriegn influenced owners are not prepared to pay the norm and I and all my family will no longer use any Premier Store especially on St John's Green and untill we all make a stand to protect our Engish local cultures the downsides will keep on coming.
