Canklow service station to be demolished for modern forecourt development
CANKLOW Service Station will be demolished to make way for a modern forecourt development, under new plans.
The replacement will include a convenience store, hot food, jet wash and landscaping, according to applicants Canklow Bridge Ltd.
The planning papers say the current station suffers from a worn-out appearance and damaged surfaces.

Hide AdThey add: “This application proposed to demolish the existing jumble of buildings, and redevelop the site to support a petrol filling station and associated amenities.
“Using the existing access and egress from Bawtry Road, the site has been designed to use the space efficiently.
“Pump island provision has been increased from two to four and the proposed shop building will offer the convenience shopping expected from a modern petrol forecourt.”
