Woman, children and dog rescued after accidental kitchen blaze

A WOMAN, two children and a dog were rescued by firefighters after an accidental kitchen blaze in Dinnington. 

Three fire crews from Aston, Maltby and Rotherham stations attended the fire in the kitchen area of the house on Doe Quarry Road at 9.30pm. 

A woman, two children and a dog were rescued by firefighters and the crews left the scene at 11.20pm.

Elsewhere in the borough overnight firefighters from Maltby station spent 45 minutes tackling a car that was deliberately set on fire at 8.05pm on Beresford Road, Maltby.

Rotherham firefighters were called out to an accidental rubbish fire at 8.35pm on Dovercourt Road, Masbrough and came away at 8.45pm.

Arsonists struck at 11.30pm on Sandford Road, Balby, with crews from Edlington station tackling a deliberate bin fire. They left the scene at 11.40pm but returned to Balby at 1.10am to deal with an accidental fire involving conifers on Aviemore Road. They came away at 1.45am.
