Two more deliberate fires overnight in borough
FIREFIGHTERS from Aston Park station were called out twice overnight to two deliberate fires.
Crews first attended a fire at Undergate Road, Dinnington, at 8.20pm. The deliberate fire involved two shopping trollies and rubbish, and the crew left the scene at 8.35pm.
An hour after the first call, Aston firefighters were called out to another deliberate fire, this time on scrublands on Dettori Mews, Laughton Common. The crew came away at 9.30pm.
It followed a busy weekend for fire crews in the borough after arsonists struck three times — in East Herringthorpe, Conisbrough, and Thurcroft.
