Third arson in a week at Wath park

FIREFIGHTERS were called to another deliberate blaze at a Wath park last night (Wednesday).

One crew from Dearne station attended Biscay Way — which borders a play area and skate park — for the third time in a week, at around 9.10pm.

There they found refuse and a tree alight and used a hose reel to put them out, leaving the scene at around 9.30pm.

The fires were thought to have been started on purpose. Deliberate fires at Biscay Way were attended last Saturday night and on Monday night.
