Sex offender jailed after babysitting children

A SEX offender was jailed after breaching a court order by babysitting children under 16.

Barry Reddish (52) has been given a three-year sentence after breaching his sexual harm prevention order.

Reddish, formerly of Roughwood Road, Rotherham, was unsupervised babysitter for a number of under 16s between October 2019 and January 2020, Sheffield Crown Court heard last Thursday (25).

Det Con Rachel Watts said: “I welcome this sentencing. Reddish had brazenly continued to have contact with children under the age of 16 despite the terms set in his order. 

“I am pleased that he is now behind bars, off the streets and not a risk to the local community for the next three years.”
