Police investigating 'attempted' abduction of teenage girl

Police said they received a report of three people acting “suspiciously” outside Lacewood Primary Academy on Carr Head Lane, Bolton upon Dearne, at 12.38pm last Thursday.

Heather Garth Primary Academy, on Billingley View in Bolton upon Dearne, sent an email to parents two hours later, in which they said people involved had been driving a red car. 

“We have just had it confirmed that there has been an attempted abduction of a young girl in the area,” the school said.

“Please be extra vigilant.”

An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the incident, police said.
