Man held on suspicion of assault after teenager is stabbed with screwdriver
A MAN (45) has been held on suspicion of assault after a teenager was stabbed in Rotherham.
Police said the 17-year-old boy suffered puncture wounds to his hip and chest following reports of an altercation with a man on Albert Street yesterday (Wednesday) evening.
"A 45 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault (GBH)," said the police spokeswoman.
"He remains in police custody."
The spokeswoman said the teenager was stabbed with a screwdriver.
