Man assaulted with weapon in Masbrough

A MAN was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following an assault with a weapon. 

The 35-year-old was reportedly attacked inside a property on Avondale Road in Masbrough between 6.30pm and 7pm on December 18.

Police have not confirmed what sort of weapon was involved.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries and is continuing to recover, police confirmed.

A spokesperson said no arrests had so far been made in the investigation but and they were seeking witnesses to assist with their inquiries.
