Man (31) arrested after Bramley street attack

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assault after an attack in Bramley.

Police said they had been called to The Lings at 11.50pm last Tuesday.

A spokesperson said: “A man was reportedly being attacked by two others in the street.

“Officers attended, and after enquiries were carried out a 31-year-old man from Rotherham was arrested on suspicion of assault.

“After he resisted arrest, was also arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault on an officer.”

The suspect has been bailed, the spokesperson said, adding: “Enquiries continue into the incident.

“Investigations into the identity of the second attacker continue at this time.”
