Free stress control classes to restart in Rotherham

A HEALTH trust is setting up another round of stress-busting classes for people in Rotherham following its previous success.

The free six-week educational programme will be starting up in the New Year and will be run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).

The classes are designed for people who are feeling stressed or think they might be suffering from problems such as anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties and panic.

James Bell, of RDaSH, who is involved in organising the classes, said: “This course aims to teach people to understand the triggers of their stress and anxiety and provides them with the support and self-help techniques to be able to manage it.

“We also provide an information pack and activities for people to work through in their own time.”

The classes will run on Wednesday evenings from 6pm until 7.30pm at the New York Stadium, from Wednesday, January 15, through to February 19.

Stress Buster is available to anyone over 18 and registered with a Rotherham GP practice.
