Curfew order for "revenge porn" man

A SCRAPYARD worker who assaulted a woman months after sharing explicit photographs of her with her loved ones has been given a curfew order.

Tyler Walker (22), of School Close, Wales, assaulted the woman last month — seven months after a 'revenge porn' attack in which he sent private photographs to her father, brother and three friends over Facebook Messenger.

He previously received a six-month jail term, suspended for two years, for the revenge porn attack — but this was not activated when he was sentenced for the assault at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on September 27 and he was instead handed an eight-week curfew and ordered to pay £85 costs.

The bench told Walker, who admitted the assault, that he would not be jailed because he had shown remorse for his actions, was in work and was complying with his community order.

He was told to carry out 20 additional hours of unpaid work — a total of 170 hours - and a rehabilitation activity requirement.

The offence of disclosing private sexual images without consent — so-called “revenge porn” — was introduced in 2015 and carries a maximum sentence of two years.
