Covid deaths and patient numbers rise at Rotherham Hospital

THERE have been five further deaths at Rotherham Hospital among patients testing positive for Covid-19 over the past week and inpatient numbers have also risen. 

In the previous week, three patients had died following a positive Covid-19 test.

 As of this morning, inpatient numbers for those who had tested positive increased to 19 — up from 13  last week — with none in critical care. 

Overall, 4,650 inpatients at the hospital have tested positive for the virus since the start of the pandemic.
