Busy night for fire crews in borough

FIREFIGHTERS spent an hour-and-a-half tackling an accidental shed fire in Brampton Bierlow last night.

Two fire crews attended the blaze at 8.05pm on Moorhouse Crescent and left the scene at 9.35pm.

Crews were then called out three times overnight after arsonists struck.

Rotherham firefighters attended after a moped was set alight at 8.40pm on Ferham Road, Holmes. The crew came away at 9pm.

Firefighters from Rotherham station were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 8.55pm on Hough Road, Rawmarsh, leaving the scene at 9.20pm.

A wheelie bin was then deliberately set on fire at 1.50am on Main Avenue, Edlington. Firefighters from Edlington station attended and came away at 2.15am.
