ULLEY COUNTRY PARK: The committee of the Friends of Ulley Country Park held a meeting at the visitor centre on October 8. Matters arising included the struggle to improve the safety of the A618 outside the entrance to the park. The refurbishing work carried out on the visitor centre is now completed. The AGM due in November was discussed and the Autumn newsletter is ready to be distributed. The park manager gave his report and the committee officials gave their respective reports. The cafe days for October and November were discussed. A tombola in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice is to be held at the October day and a fungi walk for the November one. The annual Halloween event will be on October 31 11am-12.30pm.   The AGM will be held on November 26 at the visitor centre. The meeting closed 9pm.
