CHURCH SERVICES: The times and locations of Sunday services are – 1st and 2nd Sundays 10am at St Peter’s Church; 3rd and 4th Sundays 10am at St Leonard’s Church; 5th Sundays usually at St Leonard’s unless a change is notified in the newsletter.

ST GERARD’S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL: Handmade with Love – Amelia Gurran and Jessica Peart led an Enterprise assembly. They produced a powerpoint to showcase the business and explained how to apply for the new jobs available for KS2 children. First holy communion – there will be a meeting for any Y3 parents wanting their child to take their first holy communion on November 1 4pm in St Mary’s parish room, Herringthorpe. Mega Active Multi Sport Camp – Monday to Friday at Herringthorpe Athletics Stadium, £2.50 per half day or £5 full day, £20 full week; full day 10am-3pm, half day 10am-noon/1-3pm; activities include Kangoo jump boots, athletics, football, rounders, dodgeball, tennis, cricket, hockey and more. Building Fund – the school asks for a contribution from each family of 60p per week, which can also be paid as £8 per term or £24 per year. HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, DALTON: On November 2 6pm an all souls requiem mass is to be held. On November 8 9am a rememberance mass is to be held. On November 14 there is a Christmas fayre at Dalton Parish Hall, Doncaster Road 1-3pm.
