ST WINIFRID’S CHURCHYARD: The churchyard is consecrated land but notwithstanding this fact dog owners are allowing their dogs to foul the graveyard. This is distressing for visitors and the churchyard gardener. Signs are being erected clearly stating that no dogs are allowed in the graveyard. If the situation is not resolved quickly then the Parochial Church Council may have to consider some restrictions on access to the churchyard.
