Time for a chat that will make history

DO you fancy having a good conversation? Would you like having it recorded for posterity?

If the answer is yes, then the BBC wants to hear from you.

BBC Radio 4’s mobile recording booth The Listening Project is coming to Sir Nigel Gresley Square outside Doncaster’s Cast Theatre from Tuesday, August 30 to Saturday, September 3 between 10am and 4pm.

The Listening Project is a partnership between the British Library and the BBC which offers people the chance to record a conversation with a friend or relative about different aspects of life.

The recordings will become part of the British Library’s oral history collection.

The Listening Project is looking for pairs of people who have shared or contrasting experiences, as well as people whose lives have changed or are about to change.

To take part, contact Rav Sanghera on 0114 267 5440 or email [email protected] who will book people in for a recording date and time. Conversations can take up to an hour to record.
