CROHN’S disease sufferer Emily Cawkwell is holding an afternoon tea party this weekend to raise awaress of the condition and back the charity which supports sufferers.

The Brampton teenager, who was diagnosed seven months ago, said Crohn’s and Colitis UK had been a great help when the condition was at its worst as she studied for her GCSEs.

Emily (17) is planning to give something back with the afternoon tea event from 2pm on Saturday at Ardsley Scout HQ on Doncaster Road in Barnsley.

Tickets are £4 each and there will be a selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones, as well as a raffle.
