Spring fair at Rotherham Hospital to raise funds for Mayor's chosen charities

FUNDRAISERS will spring into action next week at an event to raise money for the Mayor of Rotherham’s charities of the year.

Home-made cakes, Easter-themed crafts and a tombola will be on offer in the main entrance at Rotherham Hospital.

All funds from the spring fair raised split equally between Cllr Tajamal Khan’s chosen charities — Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity, Shiloh, Rotherham Cancer Care and Rotherham United Community Sports Trust.

“I’m working with some incredible local charities this year and it’s great to see them come together to raise money at our spring fair,” the mayor said.

“The funds we raise will really make a difference to charities supporting people in Rotherham, whether those receiving NHS care, cancer support or experiencing homelessness or for children and young people accessing more opportunities to enjoy sport.”

The event will be held from 10am to 2pm next Thursday (30).

Easter eggs and tombola prizes can be donated by visiting the Charity Hub, based in the hospital’s main entrance opposite Boots, or at Rotherham Town Hall.
