Santa swaps sleigh for speedboat at Thrybergh Country Park

FATHER Christmas will be swapping his sleigh for something a little bit sportier this weekend on with a day of festive celebrations.

Thrybergh Country Park will be welcoming Santa in his reindeer-free speedboat on Sunday, December 8, with the jolly winter favourite arriving at 11am.

Santa will launch the day’s Christmas Xtravaganza and then spend the rest of the event greeting children in his lakeside grotto, before heading off at 2pm.

There will be a chance for young visitors to create their own wooden Christmas decorations.

Entry into Santa’s Grotto will be £2. Some of the Christmas decoration making events will incur a small fee.
